It rules. Simple to use, for sure. I sold my Whetstone for $30 less than I paid for it 4 years ago and bought this for $35 used. Awesome shooshy stuff. I just want a couple of knobs, and it works great on bass, especially with the cathedral or a delay.

I love my Crayon, but yeah... he is always working on crafting things outside of his regular life and isn't always interested building for distribution. I understand why he didn't want to release this one into the wild as is, the pedal has pretty low headroom on it which causes it to 'eat' really hot signals going into it. Forget about running a fuzz or big loud distortion into it. I believe his goal was work with more bits, but the programming of the available controllers is/was much more difficult. That said, his art and pedal aesthetics are really quite cool.

Just got the Volto, so I'm unsure how it's going to go. Used it for one practice yesterday.

Cons: You can forget to charge it. You can forget to turn it off. Only two discrete outputs.
Pros: No chord when setting up. Very slim, fits a under board like the mini. Claims 36 hour charge. Can be plugged in if you forget to charge it.

That Volto sounds rad. I, for sure, would forgot to turn it off, always.

Volto and a Pignose and just make noise on the streets.

Oh hell yeah I would forget to turn it off.
Once in college I thought I unplugged my old soldering iron. Turns out it was on for 3 days straight, resting on a wooden table in a tiny metal stand. HOW something did not happen is beyond me

I mentioned it as a con, because it's the first thing I did. Charged it up, played for awhile... walked off... left it on for a day (forehead smack)

skullservant wrote:Well the way I have it currently set up, I'm going to be running my Jaguar into the ABY- the bass chain is EQ'd to have huge low end and sound like a bass, but I don't have any octave down stuff to give the FULL bass sound. But between the EQ and the Big Spider it's got more than enough thump. Plus the cab that I use for my bass chain has a bit of high end roll off, so all of those different factors make it sound like a bass.

But essentially I'll be starting with vocal loops, then bass loops, then guitar loops, then going back and forth on everything adding different layers into one giant wall of sound.

You should try it dude! It's a LOT of fun having different parts looping, and especially with a Bass VI that would be AWESOME.

And thanks dude! I'm a bit nervous as I haven't done anything but noise sets live, but I'm fairly confident that I can pull it off

Wow... that is hhhhhawesome.

I'm really satisfied with it dude. I think the only thing I would really add would be something like a PS5/6 for the bass side but I don't even really have room for it even if I wanted it on there. I unpacked it all to take that picture and timed myself, trying to also be pretty timely in setup in teardown, because there's nothing worse than taking longer to set up and tear down than the actual set
