Agreed. I prefer 9.5" generally, most comfortable radius for me, but I haven't had any problems with the 7.25" this time out.rfurtkamp wrote:They went with the 9.5, and I'm happy for that. Zero issues with anything.

Yea, I can play either, I never even thought about it when vintage stuff was cheap. I just played what made me happy!

Ordered last night. Supposed to come next week. So excited. I've wanted one of these since I was a wee Cure loving lad.

When it comes to a replacement pickguard... anything cut for a 60's bass vi will fit or what?
Also a matter of weeks until it arrives.

There's a guy over on the Offset Forum that's making replacement Squier VI guards. He's got 'em on eBay too. Hard to know if a standard VI guard will fit a Squier model but I'll be able to compare whenever these things start shipping.Seizurema wrote:When it comes to a replacement pickguard... anything cut for a 60's bass vi will fit or what?

Oh, and WD will custom cut any guard but it's like an extra $25 ugh.

I bought one of SneakyT's guards for my VI. Looks to be a good guard.
Of course... I can't comment on fit, because... well... uh... I don't have my VI yet. (fp)
I checked in with the place I ordered from, and hear the People's Republic of Canada won't be seeing any of these until late November/December.
Ugh.
Whatever, it's just a liiiiiiiiiiiiiiittle bit past the promised delivery date of September 5th...
LOL

I'm looking for like 1-ply white. I think Offset guy doesn't have any.
The stock tort is so uuuuuugly.
Also: DADGBD where did you order it from? I strangely enough ordered mine from Canadia (LA Music... because they told me they had it in stock... WHICH WAS A LIE), so I hope your statement is false.

Watch the US retailers for ship dates, they keep getting pushed back further and further.
At this point I'd watch ebay like a hawk if I didn't have one and wanted one this calendar year.

Ordered mine from Long & McQuade...
I'm not sweat in' it, but it would be nice to have.
Dunno if this is poor internetting, or not... But the same forumite selling the guards on that offset site is also selling a black VI, if any of you United S's of A'ers wanna jump the cue.
