Goes well with the hollow body and BC Rich. Now you need a green Ric.

Fuckin sexy!!!!

Since this seems to be the page of the V's I put new pickups in my V over the weekend as well as installed a new nut and set it up for C standard.

Here's a mid work pic I'll post some finished pics tonight.

That looks awesome Astronaught! You and Mudfuzz are making me want a V again. A few years back I wanted to get a bright yellow/green/pink V because I love the cheesy look of the guitars used by hair metal bands, but ended up getting my Jaguar instead. Think I'm gonna have to end up getting a V now. Especially since I saw Mudfuzz's, and I've been thinking about the Squier bass vi. A V vi would be amazing I think... O__O

VIVA LA V!

Here's mine, I put a gibbo 57 in the bridge and a Lace hemi in the neck, makes wonderful noises. I pulled it out and set it up to C today with the idea of using it to tighten up some tracks I'm recording with the 12's. Man that thing is a little shreddy machine. fun to play.

 for a V bass VI all you would need is a body made for a 25.5 scale neck and get a dano bass neck or.. get a epiphone or old vantage V bass and add two tuners and a new bridge :thumb:

I think I'd probably go the V body + dano neck route if I do it. I've played a couple of Epi basses before and I've never really gotten along with the shape of the necks, and the danos that I've played have felt pretty nice. I think that would round out all of the extremes in my guitar collection (Jaguar in B standard, parts tenor guitar that would make Sonic Youth and Seasick Steve proud, and V vi...). ^__^

Never seen one of the split bass pickups for a 5 stringer before. That's pretty cool. Is it a custom?

Edit: The bass I mean. Not the pickup. X__X

In a way... I built it. The pickup is a nordstrand.

Damn man, you have some wicked looking basses! And yeah the pickups into jackson has got to be one of the best things I've ever done. I was amazed at how well it was finished inside! Conductive paint everywhere and precise routes and CLEAN! normally I get inside a guitar and there's all kinds of residue, this thing was spotless. If you don't mind pointy they are a steal for the price. Throw your pickups of choice in there and it'll sing.

New project guitar day!
Image

1970's Japanese made National Strat copy. Body appears to be mahogany? I've already wired it up, minus the ground, and it passes the tap a screwdriver on the polepieces test. Going to put it together later tonight probably. Unless it ends up being totally awesome and replaces one of my current guitars, this one's going to end up on Craigslist for a minor profit.
