Self-Oscillating Reverb

Post by Dramatis Persona »

Hi there,
I'm looking for a self-ocillating reverb to put in front of my chain.
A friend of mine is selling a big box EQD Ghost Echo for cheap, my other choice is the Malekko Sprig Chicken LE from PGS (but because I live in Euroland I should wait a month for the delivery).
I readed about the malekko that it has a volume drop.

Cheers

Mhmm, sounds good and cheap-ish, too.

Used market, man. One of the older black versions without the trails, I've seen 'em go for $90 on here.

I don't know if buying from guitar center used is a possibility because you're international, but there are two of them on there for $80 a piece.
Also, this says it ships world wide: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tech-21-Boost-R ... 3f2983e779

Another reverb that I know can runaway oscillate is the EHX Holiest Grail, but definitely not cheapz, and it's also huge and weird power supply, because that's EHX's thing, man

^yea holiest grail is gnarly.

boost rvb is def under $100 used over here. i've owned/flipped maybe like 4 of them.

another option to consider would be taking whatever reverb you have or like and sticking it in a feedback loop.

The oscillations on the Spring Chicken are quite nice. And you can get some pretty sweet, controllable swells using an expression pedal. If you have it in front of your chain, you might notice a bit of volume drop - but if you have it after a pedal that has buffered output; you don't really notice it at all. I'd say that one is probably worth the price of shipping to EU.

My only pedal that has a buffered bypass I think is the Sea Machine (maybe Cathedral and SMMH), but I need this reverb in front of my chain :/
Self oscilating spring reverb before fuzzy overdrive will be very cool. :!!!:

I second the reissue Spring Chicken LTD but that's the only verb I've ever owned that oscillates. Increase depth and utilize expression to tame or unleash the madness.
