I'm lookin for a digital delay that can do stutter sounds. I'm looking to spend less than two hundred.
The two I'm looking at are the stereo memory man or the boss dd6 but I just want to see what else is out there.
Also longer delay times are nice and tap tempo is a must for this.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by a delay with stutter sounds. Care to provide some youtube links that have what you're looking for?
When it comes to stutter, though, it's hard to beat the Mad Doctor.

Re: Stutter delay
Think about the hold function on the dd6 or an oscillating digital delay. Only example I can think of is silversin pickups wasted on or any song off their album carnivas

Re: Stutter delay
The DelayLab with an expression pedal can do this in some cool ways.
Also, if you want just this sound, check out the freeze.

Yup, it was the DD-5 and Digidelay that do this.kbithecrowing wrote:We just had a whole conversation about this in this thread here: http://ilovefuzz.com/viewtopic.php?f=149&t=36524
Since you want tap tempo, you'd be best off with a DD-5 and an external tempo switch. The delay time is like two seconds as well. Should be able to get those for well under $200.
