Rehouse my Ibanez DL5 for me?

Post by destroyerjazz »

I have an old Ibanez DL5 Soundtank delay that I LOVE and haven't been able to find that sound from any other pedals. Right now on my board I have a Boss DD-20 and Strymon El Capistan, so it seems so silly to be so into this pedal I paid $15 for. That being said, I tour about 2/3 of the year and tend to get a little stomp aggressive at shows. As you probably know, the Soundtank series looks and is built like shit. I am AWFUL with mechanical and electrical things like this, I also don't really have the time (or patience) to rehouse it. I've contacted a few companies who do this and the cheapest quote I've gotten back was $125, which is wayyy more than I'd want to pay for the cheapest pedal I own.
Would anyone be interested in rehousing this for me? For a price or a trade of some sort, of course. I'm really just looking for a plain normal casing, as small as you could make it while fitting in the guts, some basic knobs, and that's it. If you have the ability to powder coat it black or something, that's fine, but not necessary! Thanks!

It'll fit in a BB case no problem, I've done a Soundtank chorus before but probably a bit too far away for sending it to me.

Awesome, good to know that. Dang, my band is doing a month long Europe tour in Nov-Dec and actually flying into Dublin! But yeah, I'm sure sending it either way will be really expensive and not quite worth it. Thanks though!
