FWIW, the MF101 has a pretty dark tone compared to the XGD. I bought and sold the MF101 twice. Eventually I'll have it again for the third time. I'm not making that mistake with the XGD. My only complaint with the XGD is that you need to tweak it with very fine adjustments. Its easy to miss the sweet spots when you're used to the MF101.

I thought the Xero was analogue?

Wow! I guess that explains the touchy controls. I still love my XGD :bear: No analogue purest bullshit here!

Huh. didn't know that either. But the xero is the first lpf I really liked. and I owned a moog previously.

Also I feel you on the buying the same pedal twice thing. I've done it far too many times. But, can't argue with results.

I tried the MXR bass envelope filter years ago, and was pleasantly surprised by how non-quacky it was. Now admittedly, that was on bass, not guitar, but maybe worth a look...

the frostwave resonator is without doubt the best low pass filter I've ever played (really need to get mine fixed) but it's...kind of a waste of money as a guitar effect, almost. Like you're using about 2% of the functionality of it there compared to using it as a tabletop effect.

Shoulda guessed. Taylor is rad with that spin chip.

Digital doesn't mean shit for me if an effect is cool, actually I have the Polytope and it blows many analog chorus\vibrato pedals.
For what I remember the Xero has many problems with single coil guitar, that's the reason why I sold it.
For example: it doesn't works well with fuzz (before and after), the freq knob doesn't emit any sound in the first half, works well only with 4 pole switch, the reverse envelope sounds shitty. It can't emit any of the cool sound of the Kayzer demo. :/
But there is something that I miss of the xero.
