Due soon...demos available. Looks good. Can't figure out if I like the "records once sound is made" function or not, but since I biamp this is a good thing.

Yeah, I'm gonna hit the TC Ditto first, and see if I can deal with the "hit twice to stop" malarkey. If not, I guess I'll flip it and wire up a momentary switch to either a boss RC or a Digitech Jamman. Delaylab's still on the maybe pile for crispy/fucked up delay presets.Ro_S wrote:@ poster -
If you want a good, big delay pedal and a looper, personally I'd get a dedicted delay and a dedicated looper.
...
The vox delaylab is very good. even if used just as a dedicated delay it's very well priced.

I totally agree with separating delay and looping with 2 individual pedals designed to handle them.
While certainly not cheap, I didn't see any mention of the Pigtronix Infinity looper.
I'm not a big looping guy, but the few times I did try the Pigtronix I REALLY enjoyed it. Fuck ton of features and while seemingly complicated, it was surprisingly user friendly.

Re: Which delay/looper should I get?
that TC Ditto definitely fills a market need imo: a dedicated looper that's simple, straightforward and small. If i was starting from scratch i'd likely get one myself. i have the original Boomerang; it's huge but at least it's intuitive and WYSIWYG. a good looper in my book must be very easy and straightforward to use, and not get in the way or playing and messing about. too many fx pedals seem to overcomplicate things.Genghis Kanye wrote: Yeah, I'm gonna hit the TC Ditto first, and see if I can deal with the "hit twice to stop" malarkey. TC Ditto is IN TODAY and it's pretty fun. I need to practise more, because I'm pretty confident I'll fuck up the timing of a loop live. Anyone else find getting the level of loops right surprisingly tricky?

Kinda, I find that at home it's really easy to time loops and the levels seem fine but then with the band it always seems to drift and get drowned out a bit. That's probably my bad, though.

I just bought a Ditto from Amazon for 104$ so maybe you can get retroactive price matching from the place you bought it.Genghis Kanye wrote:Gad damn it, 99 bucks!
