Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
I've been modding the fuck out of my Gold Top since I got it. I still need to sand down the back of the neck and apply a clear finish. Need to get new pickups down the road, too.
All of the control plates on the back are now black, threw on a cream pickguard, installed some beautiful TonePros tuners, and have new Tonepros locking TOM bridge and tailpiece coming in the mail. This is going to be a doom machine when I'm done with it.

Anyone here with a vintage Peavey T 60 mind telling me how heavy they are I really want to get one and mod the shit out of it possibly but I want to to know if its really like 10 to 14 pounds or something ridiculous I've heard

I had one for a while. It did weight a decent amount, I'd say about every ounce that my aluminum guitar does, maybe a little less.
Solid as hell. THIN neck, the pickup wiring in there is genious.

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
Well that's a problem because I wanted to get one on the cheap and add an aluminum neck on to it to give my own unique sound/flair. I just don't want to weigh too much and if the neck is thin, I definitely will want to change it as I like relatively thick necks

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
Ah, gotcha. I know a guy that did that to a T60 but I never heard whether or not it added much weight onto it. If you got an aluminum neck put on, Kevin could probably make you a thick one that is hollow in the center. But then you have the wait time of waiting for the neck

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
Hmm I might possibly go that route, I mean I am in no rush for any of this as I currently don't own any guitar, and I'm not playing with any band. I wouldn't mind getting a custom one at all. The neck on the t 60 isn't super thin is it? I can't seem to find one locally and I'm ready to pull the trigger just because I really want something to play and its either this or a Gibson sonex.
What is the wait time anyway?
