Now IDK if it is in fact a TS but that seems to be the consensus impression.

This trend needs laid to rest. There are already more than plenty of quality TS clones and better styled derivatives.
EHX sure as hell wont be improving upon its design by mass production making it cheaper, using surface mount micro components, adding corny graphics, those lame knobs (that are tough to see in dim light) AND NO TOP MOUNTED JACKS.

What a complete waste of time and resources. Sheesh.

How will SMD not help it? And making a decent affordable true bypass screamer isn't a bad thing... even if the name and graphics do suck. More to the point that this is a bit of a step back for them as far as some more awesome and/or innovative recent releases.

But i'm glad EHX don't use top mount my self, fine on the big sheet boxes but I prefer my small boxes with side mounts.

SMD are an obstacle for repair and/or modification.
We don't yet know if it's decent or not, but i do know there are already plenty of (better than decent) affordable, TS pedals with TB:

I've read the good book. That is, a good lot of Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers, ever since the 80's. And learned that Fat Freddy and his church is right. The church motto - in his t-shirt - says FUCK 'EM IF THEY CAN'T TAKE A JOKE. And with the power vested in me by the church I most solemnly prescribe the mentioned fucks to anybody who never realised this was - since the video was released - the funniest and greatest new pedal presentation EHX ever has made. And Mike having a good laugh at himself.
