I would really like to try one in guitar center or something. No idea how long they've been out but I've heard nothing. I really like my crush blahblah30-something actually and would consider picking one of these up when they start turning up used for like $250-$300.

That's paying a ton for the cosmetics to be honest.
My Mustang V head was $275 new in box, and is ridiculously loud and sounds good on a ton of settings. Even if I was just to leave it on basic faux Twin or Bassman for eternity, well worth it.
Can't really justify blowing an extra hundred and a half bucks on something because it's orange colored and has less features.

My pedalboard costs approximately 191 Metal Zones.
I'm intrigued. There are so few good solid state heads out there that are in production. Plenty of modelling, plenty of hybrids. Not much straight up solid state goodness.

That’s quarter-assed at best.
I mean I realize you are paying for the orange name a little but I can't help but be interested. I watched an interview and the orange employee said it's all the same circuitry of the rockerverb (head) and thunder verb (the combos) but with op amps instead of tubes. Now I don't know much about any of that, and I could just be believing their deceiving advertising but I still really want to try one out.
I liked the solid state orange I tried. The bro my band recorded with had one and we used it for a few things. pretty neat! I don't if it even had dirtyness in it cause he just kept it clean. The reverb was great.
Orange's current production tube powered stuff is very underwhelming when you go comparing quality to cost. I have zero interest in their Chinese built solid state amps although they're probably a better value if they don't sound like complete ass.
