Verellen Custom "shawne" #295

30w Class A (45w estimate with both boosts on) out of 2x6550's running fixed bias in ultralinear.
Simple 1x 12ax7 Fender Champ style preamp w/ single tone control
Recording out w/ dummy load so you can run it with no cabs into FOH or your recording desk
Dual boosts, one for the preamp and one for the power amp
SS FX loop right before the power amp boost

I'm loving it! I haven't gotten to throw any pedals through it yet as they are at the practice space but the cleans are amazing. The bass and mids are really well balanced and the single tone control allows you to dial out any high end harshness, it can do anything from bright jazz cleans to dark matamp voiced cleans. It's not crazy loud or anything, at 75% volume with both boosts engaged its about as loud as the Annunaki at like 30-40%. The awesome part is because of the design the tone doesn't really change with increasing the volume it just simply gets louder. Will definitely be a lot better for night jamming while the little ones are sleeping. Oh and its sooooo small (as wide as a jet city jca20 but deeper and not as tall), its such a cute little thing when sitting next to its big brother.

I love simple amps that just work. I'm looking forward to hearing more on it.

There will be plenty of demo's in the coming weeks. Next week I'm going through my entire rig and reorganizing and rerouting things, so I'll be itching to get some recordings.

Rearranged my amps tonight as part of the big clean up in the Dirge Cave.
Might end up splitting them up again because the stereo effect isn't as awesome as when they are halfway across the room from each other
