I f'd up my tele!

Post by Helter »

Ok, so I decided I needed a bigsby (not really) so I bought one and the little no-drill vibramate thing. Then, I decided I needed brass saddles. So I put all that up and totally fucked up everything. I really don't know anything about setting up a guitar especially with these weird saddles. Any help with this would be so appreciated because I don't even want to play it the spacing is so screwed up. I know the strings surely aren't supposed to sit against those screws. I don't know. I just want to play my tele again.

It honestly looks like the string spacing isn't wide enough on the Bigsby itself if you look at where the strings fall onto the pickup

something like this might fix things? Still might have intonation issues.

you have to file string slots on the brass barrel-style saddles. i have the threaded steel ones on my Tele; you have to turn them over and around at times to get the spacing right. i used them because i was going specifically for a 60s/70s sound.

it does look like the Bigsby spacing isn't right for the pickup placement. i don't know what if anything can be done with that.

Yeah I agree with the people who said that Bigsby thing is no good. Take it off.
