will you help me find this toggle switch?

Post by psychedelicrelic »

Hey fellas

I got a broken toggle switch. Im looking for the exact one to replace it with but I cant find it. Its a mini switch and reads mts-1 and 3a 250vac and 6a 125vac. Ive never repaired a switch or built a pedal soooo...help is appreciated. Im electronically retarded. Any alternatives if not its not available anywhere? Everything im finding has 3 pole peices.

Can I jumper this some how to get it working til then? Would it possibly fuck it up? Its the power switch thats busted. I just got it and jjust knowing its there makes me anxious.

Heres a pic:

Any SPST mini toggle will do. I assume this is a guitar pedal so there is no need to have such a high rating anything over 10v is more than safe. If there is three lugs just leave one unconnected.

You'll have a hard time finding the ones with only two lugs, but the ones with three are exactly the same. You just ignore the 3rd one. So, you're looking for a SPDT. You can get them at bitcheslovemyswitches super cheap, or Mammoth, Smallbear, PPP, just wherever. Radioshack might also carry something that works.

Jumpering it will be fine. It won't hurt anything.

You found it! Awesome. I wanted to keep it original more than anything. Those tiny switches are adorable. So is this stamp amp.

Thanks for all the replies!
