Oh yeah, I forgot about the AD999. That has 900ms of delay (which is around what I like) and rhythmic subdivisions.

Pay no attention to the messiness of this board.. I pulled about 3 things off and re-arranged it today though:

AngryGoldfish wrote:I never thought of it that way. It makes sense. So, in theory, if technology was advanced enough to not only increase the amount of micro-transistors and thus increase the latency but also develop highly complex rhythms like that in the Pigtronix Echolution and Catalinbread Echorec. I don't see how reverse delay would function without the sampling of digital technology, but in theory you should be able to create an analog SuperDelay or TimeLine, just without features such as reverse, looping. With that said, isn't the Zvex Lo-Fi Loop Junky an analog pedal?
The problem is there is little to no demand for BBD chips, even within the small microcosm of guitar effects. So it aint going to happen. But yeah, theoretically you should be able to do a fair bit more with analogue delay then what has been done previously, even with existing chips. With a good enough microcontroller I don't see why you couldn't do rhythmic delays if you can do tap tempo. Ping pong style should also be possible. Empress could probably do it, Subdecay could probably do it. Sonic Crayons or Montreal Assembly maybe. But I don't reckon there are all that many manufacturers with a decent knowledge of programming out there.
Re loop junky: I don't understand how it can be analogue. The ad copy for it makes no sense to me, but I'm a noob on the electronics front.

Ah yeah. I get so caught up in the world of pedals you forget that much of what top builders like Pigtronix, Strymon and Empress work with is technology designed for all electronics that require digital control. So if the rest of the world doesn't want analog technology then no one will produce it.
If the Loop Junky is digital, why is so shit except for one job?

It's basically an answering machine. With a digital chip. But it's like, analogue. That last bit is what I don't get. Dunno if it's an interesting use of a digital chip that I'm too noob to understand, or if it is just marketing speak for "this chip sucks hard at life but we were pretty clever and turned that into a feature and "analogue" will sell a few extra units". Dunno.

I haven't really read up much on the lofi loop junky but I think the lofi action comes in from using like really crappy analog to digital and digital to analog converters? Really not sure.
Mathias - sweet board! What's the giant mega box?
Also.. I finally saw that episode of Mighty Boosh where they get the doors on their heads. Classic!

Z.vex claims there's no digital components whatsoever, but it does have a brickwall filter at 2.6Khz

Did you get to the third season ye? It's not as good. They take the weirdness to a whole new level, especially with the perverted fox. Still awesome though. The Crimp battle episode is probably my favourite.

THIRD SEASON IS GOLDEN. THE EPISODE WITH THE EELS SONG ALONE MAKES THE WHOLE SEASON.

My girlfriend has all the seasons on DVD so I've just been watching with her.
The crack fox is the first one I saw and what got me into the show. I'm not really into vulgar humor but I love the absurdity of that show. Howard Moon is ma boi.

I wouldn't call The Mighty Boosh vulgar, but the fox episode definitely is.

OC2, PS3, and Ghost Echo are new. Forgot how good the OC2 sounds with my Revelation. The PS3 is nice to have again but the Ghost Echo has me all
