Feeling bummed out of nowhere today. I'm 22 yet i feel so old and unaccomplished. I just am thinking about like even a year or two back and all like what the fuck . I've done nothing in this time and i just feel like i'm getting dumber,less creative, and lack for any sort of energy or motivation. Both my grandparents passed recently grandmas then grandpas about a month later. I was sad about grandmas kinda disconnected since im so far away not so much about grandpa dude but like i was reading his obituary. And It's like 3-4 cookie cutter paragraphs married so and so had hobbies survived by children and grand children and great grandchildren . Not really touching on any flaws or positive traits and I'm just sort of like what did this dude achieve in his life other than being a tough stubborn bastard who refused to die till he hit 90. I think I'm dealing with their deaths in a fucked up, round about, delayed way and like maybe this just triggered it but i just feel really fucked up and narcissistic. growing older is bullshit. What am I going to be able to achieve in my life ? What am I good at?

I'm sure more people than you think feel similar. I go through this kind of crap all the time. So far, the solution has been to take what I like (Art and music) and just sit my ass down in my chair and pound out pictures and riffs. Because if you're not doing what you like, what's the point? When I'm not feeling inspired or feeling generally worthless is usually when I need to make myself do something. As soon as I've been going for a little bit, I feel better.

There's a whole management theory about creating clarity through action - been ages since I read it but basically, the time you spend pondering different outcomes can be better used by just going for it and learning from the experience.
