NPD + Demo: Hazeleffects The Germ

I think the internet is kind of tiring of crowd-sourced funding projects, but I backed this kickstarter a while ago and just got my pedal in the mail yesterday. It's a Silicon/Germanium hybrid Fuzz Face clone that sounds fucking awesome.

Here's what it looks like (I cheaped out and got the non-screen printed version):

My three complaints:
1.) It's battery only. This is somewhat mitigated by the on/off switch at the top so I don't have to unplug it every time.
2.) Super sensitive to input signals. It freaked the fuck out when I tried to put it after my tuner in the chain.
3.) When you turn the fuzz knob down it loses some of the magic.

Granted, those three complaints just seem to come with the territory of this fuzz circuit.

Admittedly if it wasn't $100 for the unpainted kickstarter edition, I might not have gotten it. New they're gonna run nearly $200 which is kind of beyond my price limit for pedals.
