Say you're in a terrible car accident and you lose the use of your legs. Would you rather be a paraplegic or a double amputee?

Sure :idk: I was just wondering which would be worse, not being able to use your legs and still having them; or simply losing your legs. I think I'd go with amputee. It seems like you could have more fun at the jungle gym and go rock climbing easier.

I think I would rather not have them? unless removing them would be painful/expensive. I don't see the point otherwise

If yous get paraplegic, there's a chance your winky won't work!
I wonder if it feels a bit claustrophobic to have that kind of dead weight, but then again there's stuff like balance and symmetry. Some people probably want to look symmetrical. I'd rather have robot legs.

Would you trade your hooman legs for robot legs that were perhaps a bit more unwieldy in everyday situations (i.e. making you walk like a nazi) but could do stuff like expertly cushion you from high drops or jump really high, or kick stuff with robot power and have a cupholder? That's a tough one.

Hell yeah, so worth it.
Anybody makes fun of my goose-stepping and I'll cap 'em with my leg gun, like Robocop.

An even more interesting question: If scientists could put your brain into a robot body and you could live the rest of your life controlling that robo-body, would you do it? You could have whatever add-ons to your robot that you want: jetpack, wheels, extra arms, etc...

An even more interesting question is why do you think there's a limit to your life in a robot body?

I will have one.
Or an army of clones at the very least.
