awesome! i'm particularly excited about the strike inputs. i've had a fondness for the vactrol ping since i first heard subotnick and loved it since i played a buchla 200 the first time. the idea of applying it to other features not related to pitch and amplitude in a VCO/LPG context is really exciting! it's double cool that you can use a pulse instead of tying up a transient generator to generate the "plunk" cv. are you getting any use out of the morphing mode function?
btw, the stilson hammer excited me more than the rest of the harvetman line. i was think about using it for a clock source in a dual rene' situation.

Yeah it rules really hard. I didn't intend on any part of the rack being musical, but you can definitely get musical with the filter which is a nice option. Great for rhythms and stuff.
I have yet to try it but I'd like to send a super slow sine wave into the mode function CV as it also has a nice range to it. I could see getting an almost phaser like sweep in doing that!

I really dig the Stillson a lot. I think the random mode is what has me most excited on it, along with the threshold mode. The Threshold mode can get NUTS.

random anything is the best. again, another thing that has me excited from buchla, the source of uncertainty is amazing. but there were always things i wished it had, like random pulse/gate outs. i will have to find someone local to try a hammer out.
this is my long term plan, split into a zero case.

Awesome! That looks like a lot of fun. It's funny, when I got the tiptop case I thought I was going to have trouble filling it, but that wasn't the case haha. I'd still like to get at least one pressure points just so I can have some tactile control over things. Going to make a contact mic for the 666 I think, to use as an input source to keep things fresh. I've been really tempted to look into a delay in Euro form so I don't have to bring along a lunchbox board full of pedals, but meh. The Echophon looks so good

i hear you on the delay! in fact, it's why i passed on the particle, it seemed like the echophon would fill that need but in a way that way more flexible and suited to what i want to use it for. the contact mic sounds like a great idea! i've been toying with how to introduce other sounds into the system, things a set of inputs for the op-1 which will be loaded with sample. just wish there was a better way of doing midi/cv with it. any you will FILL those rails, and beyond! are you looking into any euro format jumbler for pedals?

Yeah. I've tried all of my delays with the modular and I could only get two of them to sound decent and not like grey garbage no matter how attenuated my signal- the Moodysounds Mushroom Echo (what I've currently got it running through) and my DD7 (what I use for stereo recordings). But I'd like to get something like the Echophone that is integrated and meant to take line level stuff. Just wish it was stereo, but alas.
A dude that goes by the name of Sickness uses a contact mic as a trigger in his modular. I've always been a big fan of contact mics outside of modular, but I'm interested to see how well they can be and what they can do in a modular system. Should be fun experimenting!
I've got a Pittsburgh In/Out for rack which is awesome, I don't have to bother with converter jacks to try to plug the contact mic in if I decide to go with a 1/4" jack. Haven't really given much thought to what features I want it to have but I'll probably put a volume pot and a killswitch/momentary switch on it for kicks.
I think the OP1 will be a good idea! Then you could modify the created sounds using the modular.
It's funny, I started with a Doepfer mini case that I filled in less than three weeks and I've filled this tip-top guy in less than two. Oh well, I've been having a lot of fun with what's in it now so I'm going to give it a rest for a while and enjoy what I've got.

I'm just going to get a tin lunchbox and make a small board for them so I can tote it easily to shows- going to play my first sets out at the end of the month so that should be fun. when i got my lovetone flange the first thing i ran it through was my friends vcs3 and buchla 200. it sounded like shit and i though i fucked up REAL bad buying it. but then i ran guitar through it and i was fine (great actually). but yeah, real high output stuff i.e. dwarfcraft sounds sick pumping OP-1, combo organ, or an old arp through. as for the op-1 it sounds really great, especially the karplus-strong patch, but as cool as alot of the features are, it's still limited. trying really heard to take the eno approach of being okay with and embracing limitation.

I was just thinking about that today a little bit. Have you looked into the Tyme Safari MK2? Am I completely off in that it might be able to do something similar? I know it can sample and bend signals and stuff

i don't know that i does, it the sense that it seems like pitch is transposed along with playback rate, just like the phonogene. that being said, i'm not really sure if it does. the harvestman website calls it "a false time stretcher"

hmm... the premise that clock dividers work on is frequency division which has the property of the output being squarewaves, so i don't think that's a solution. a frequency shifter would be the solution but they are prohibitively expensive for just a solution to your problem! here the basic theory of operation if your aren't immediately familiar:

Innnnnteresting. That's for explaining it! I didn't quite know if there would be something that could theoretically 'slow' the LFO down at all, without being an entirely seperate LFO. Like you said, they seem to be prime/basic/broken down into their most basic component, so modifying them like that does seem like a task.
I might just splurge on a dual LFO or something to throw in where my ASDR is for the time being. Or, I might just get a Trogotronic m11 to use as a trigger for the 666
