So they hashed it out that I'm going to get the prime spot in the carport and she gets the crappier spot to the side. I'd been totally content to park in worse spot if she'd been reasonable, so really she screwed herself over.

people in apartments are so weird. the renters are so weird.
last place my grrL and i lived in before we moved to the house we're in now, renter guy always seemed really nice. a little slow on repairs, but he did them. we paid extra each month for a storage yarea and a parking spot.
when we moved out after living there 4 years landlord guy hit me with a bill for the $25 a month we were paying, and had paid, for our storage space. $1200.
i took him to renter's court (Berkeley does NOT like protecting owners and landlords), was so pissed at his shadiness that i let them rape him. i did not know, but APPARENTLY not only (at least in CA) there's a restriction on how much rent can be raised in a year, there must be written notification a month prior, when you give a deposit they have to pay you the interest accrued and there's a rate set by the state government.
since he never gave us written notice they made him refund any increases over the 4 years and the interest he never paid and all the deposit.
we would have been fine with getting half our deposit back, but because he tried to dick hand us so bad he ended ip paying us about $4000. fucker.
