Not bad at all, wait, is that your 7th Xero?! Is it finally working for you?

Pffttt...who's counting? lol

I dig it. I want an expressionator now and a micro thumpinator.

Yes.

Confession: I kinda like smaller pedalboards more.

It's become so rewarding to break down all my pedals into small boards that all have a purpose, you know? Pedals I wasn't using for this or that now have a place. I've got that Savage Cross board, a super small board for my modular, and then what is left goes onto the main board (which I must admit I haven't even touched recently)

I wish I could do this. I look at my giant board and I WANT to break it down, but at the end of the day, I use all twenty-goddamn-something pedals in my main project. I need to get a few more things to fill in some gaps, then I can start building a smaller board for working on solo stuff. Awesome board BTW, skully.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It was hard for me at first too. But then I went through a giant streak of not being able or having time to record or play much, and that's when it all happened, I started playing around with smaller boards. I actually found myself happer, because it was less about tweaking and tap dancing etc and more about playing. But that's not to say that I don't like doing that either, I love tweaking around with my big board. I say if you've got any extra pedals laying around, make a board in the most ass-backwards way you can think of and jam with it. Chances are you will find some new sounds you wouldn't have thought of before. I started doing it about a year ago, calling them anti-pedal boards, and it's been so rewarding!

I understand the tape on the knobs, but the logo? No EHX love?

 I love small boards that look like they've been around the country a few times. (especially when they're filled with delay n verb!) :thumb:

Hahahhaa that Noise Swash has seen SO much abuse. A friend built it for me a few years ago before I started building pedals. It was in a larger enclosure, and nothing was labeled (I guess that's where I get it from hahahah) and the layout of the knobs was kind of confusing, along with me wanting to switch out a toggle switch for a stomper, so I first switched everything around in the original enclosure, but then it was still HUGE, so I made this enclosure for it and rewired everything when I was just starting out (the guts have been rewired a few times in there, it's an absolute mess). But one day I noticed that the giant toggle switch (the now empty hole) was loose- the shaft of the switch had stripped, so I had to do my best to try and pry the old switch out of the enclosure, which as you can see resulted in it actually cracking the aluminum enclosure. How I did not harm myself in the process of this removal is beyond me. But anyways, swapped it out for the mini toggle and it's been working perfectly ever since. I found a setting that I really dig on it, so while I've been recording I taped everything down because it's such a picky bastard about where the knobs are. I think the only thing I'll be adding to the setup is a 6 band DIY EQ that I'm putting together, just so that I can adjust the entire EQ prerecording and then fine tune post recording.

That's crazy!!! The DIY EQ sounds pretty legit! I've always wanted to build an EQ specifically to get the coming through an old radio sound, love cutting to that tone during quiet guitar only breaks in songs, then coming back in full force.

That board totally looks like it belongs in a black metal rig. :doom: Which is why I think I like it so much.
