conky wrote:Thanks for the info. I've only really ever done the first thing you've mentioned but today I didn't even do that. I was too focused on setting up the mic and recording to remember to do that. I'll try the rest.

Here's what I shredded my voice on. There isn't but one rhythm track and no bass. I have to add them later. Plus I realized that the Obama sample needs to come up a little more.

[soundcloud]https://soundcloud.com/divinemotherrecordings/deadhand-track-1-draft[/soundcloud]

EDIT:

I just listened to it and realized that there was some bleed through on the delay'd guitar and the metronome and footswitch popping are at the end. :picard: That'll have to be rerecorded later.

I was caught off guard by the vocals. Sound absolutely viscous. I'm super jealous of people who can do those sorts of screams. I can really only do the higher pitched stuff at any sort of recording volume - not whiney screamo high pitched though, more like the dude from ASG.

Well thanks for noticing! I can't really help it. The hair/beard is starting to bug but I figure I'll let it go awhile.

Soon! And you are first in line as I have mentioned. No pressure of course I know you just bought a MASSIVE AMP.

Also the company name is no longer black hand analog. From here on out I operate as ELECTRIC HEAT

Skip! I know nothing of The Body. Yob posted that on fb yesterday and I liked it. Noisily good!

The Body live...one of the heaviest rooms i've been in...they played with Thou when I saw them and were about 3 times as loud/heavy...and are but a 2-piece!

Such a cool rig too...a true wall of doom! All that was visible was a small rack and what I think was a peavey mace combo, then just a wall of speakers covered by a black sheet. Drummer runs samples and even had a step sequencer tied to his kick drum for a couple of parts. Nothing through the PA except vocals, and even then he yelled across the room to the sound guy to keep them pretty low since the music is pretty much all bass and low mids then his vox are all highs.

If you ever have a chance to see them live they are worth at least a 250 mile drive in my mind...fuck maybe even 300...in the scheme of loudest, heaviest bands ive ever seend: 1. Sleep 2. The Body 3. Sunn O))) 4. Thou 5. Harvey Milk

Rig without sheet, pretty sure all FX switching was done via rack:

HA! I'll be changing the name on the current BHA page. I'm just reminding people for a few days in a row before I do it. People have changed names without me knowing and I was all like "WTF I never 'liked' Paul's Pickles and Penis Pumps!" only to find out it was something else when I first saw it.

Thanks guys!!!!!!

Yep, we are due on 9/21 if all goes accordingly. And yes, we got ourselves a baby for Christmas in a very literal way. We had to do IVF, so we did the transfer on 1/4

The little guy or girl we be able to hear in like 2 weeks, so now I am tasked with the nearly impossible task of picking out the first music the baby will hear in utero.

Also, he/she will officially be attending their first concert tonight. Can't hear it yet, but should be able to feel it, which is just as important at a show. What show you might ask? Why, Lynyrd Skynyrd, of course. There is literally no chance this kid won't be white trash :animal:
