Apparently, my shower has been spilling water onto the floor, which is pooling in the basement. I hadn't even noticed, because of the spot that it was in, which makes me feel like a dumbass, since there's a ton of water there. I'm just glad the landlord noticed.

I kind of feel like a jackass for not having seen it.

maybe I shouldn't, i mean... you and I can both find a reason why not to... the problem is I can't find a reason why to do it :( it all seems... unnecessary, redundant and maybe not deserved

you deserve things that make you happy. i've been through a couple rounds of "how do you justify this?" with my cousin...in one case i bought some climbing pants that were remaindered for 78% off because blue jeans choke my bollocks. in the one that really fried my chalupas he asked me "how do you justify spending money on pedals if you aren't making money with them?" to which i testily replied "i don't HAVE to justify it...i'm a musician."

life is not all about reasons. life is very rarely a logical existence.

I think I saw another thread taking about how life is meaningless - to bridge that into this, knowing that there's not really meaning in life inherently is liberating, because you're free to assign meaning wherever you want. That's your justification; because I want to, because it means something to me. Maybe others pressure you, because they feel oppressed by whatever idea about life they've chosen to believe in, that doesn't allow them to ever be happy, or to be ashamed of it, puritanism, etc.

My family put down our family dog. I guess she was having a hard time standing up.

I loved that dog so god damn much.

I don't really know what to do or say. I just wish I could have been there.

She was probably 12 or so years old. I don't know why the fuck I'm even posting this here. It feels so pointless.

Given my general impression of pig destroyer fans, I'm surprised they didn't start sucking your cock immediately.

Integrity, is it an outdated and useless human attribute in these vile and sinister dark days of life? Does it leave you in the dust as YesMen leave their own ideals and morals behind in this money driven catastrophe of an existence? Should I continue to play boring bass lines in a band that's bound to turn fully electro-pop and make lots of money while leaving its roots and the music style it built its fan base on behind, or should I focus on my career and growing family while playing in a heavier band that's sure to never get big but guaranteed to make me happy?

Why not both? Play in a band, make lots of money, and start a heavy band. I know a bassist in the area ;)
