Speaking of crazy enclosures froma page or two back, The studio We record at had 4 of these 4x15s for sale for like 200 ish each.

Fair warning, They are enormous! but i could potentially put folks in touch with the guy if they are still there. (located near philly... I doubt they would ship them. ) they are like 4-5 feet deep with the 15s at the bottom

I use a variety of Emperor 2x12s and oversized 2x12s with most my amps, like to keep the setup modular and easy to move or switch up. My Dunwich Metro is around 80W, biggest of the bunch, and gets a pair of those 2x12s currently. Think I could get away with a single 1x15 added to that setup or you think I'm lacking required wattage? Would a 2x12 plus 1x15 setup work out, anyone tried that before?





Also, not sure how often you guys head to the "let's see your amp" thread but user stephen sawall just posted his 9x10s over there, figured you dudes should see 'em. Crazy! They were built by THD for Keith Richards to use on tour, then stephen got ahold of 'em after that. Feast your eyes....

Yep, I got them on your recommendation. So I may need your help a bit when putting together the final list over everything I need. I was thinking of basing it off the matamp/electric schematic that was put up on another forum but use a bandaxall tonestack instead.

Mate...i didn't mean that in bad way...its a sweet looking board and the fact that you have sections is pretty cool!. I just have problems with my board when it gets over 5-6 pedals...it basically comes down to the whole "cant do two things at one time" cliche, i.e.. my inability to play guitar whilst stomping down on pedals. My newest board will have about 8 pedals on it, and already standing above it, i get a little overwhelmed thinking i might click the wrong thing during a song.

If you are playing ambient or psychadelic or stuff where you are building up parts and are adding and adding layers having all the pedals in a row works great because you're just adding or removing one pedal at a time.

Adding a loop switcher works really well so all the switches are easy to access in a line at the front, or you can get a programmable looper where one button turns on multiple pedals.

Or even simpler is to divide your pedals into two loops / two sounds. Clean/dirty or rhythm/lead. Then route everything through one of those Boss line switchers. Before the song you turn on what pedals you want for clean and for dirty and after that all you press is the line switcher to go back and forth.

I have an eminence Delta 15A in one speaker (which is rated 400W) and a Celestion sidewinder in the other 15 (300W) Wattage won't be your issue.

I know hex does a 15" Giant killer 1x15 cab. I have a 12" version of that with a celestion sidewinder and its ridiculously loud.

I was using a 2x12 with a 1x15 before I switched over to the sunn 4x12 I use now. Although I am thinking of putting the 1x15 into use with the 4x12 as long as my bandmates don't bitch at me too much. The 15 in a weber Michigan which sounds nice. I don't think I have pushed it anywhere near what it can do though since I was using it with tonkers which are really loud. The 15 has always sat on the bottom of the stack too which doesn't help me hear it when I am standing right in front of the stack in a cramped practice space.

Yeah, might give that setup a whirl. Always hear good things about the Weber Michigan too, Big Ben as well, I think it was. Ideally I'd wanna daisy chain 3 cabs and simply add the 1x15 to existing pair of 2x12s. Hmmmmm, maybe I'll get with Emperor, get a quote.....

I could NEVER run my board without a true bypass loop switcher. It makes things so much easier, eliminates tons of tap dancing. I don't even have a fancy programable one, just simple loops/channels that I break up into various sections of pedals. Works like a charm and keeps my from having like 16 pedals crowding up my signal at all times.

Yeah, thats what I wanna do. We have a few samples that we wanna run between songs when we are tuning and then a few to go in some of the songs. I've got them in my SP404 but I wanna move it to my board for less set up time and hands free sampling. Ideally I'd like something that I can scroll through banks with one or two switches and then one other one that I hit once to start the loop. I'm not up on all these loopers though so I don't know which ones are good for that. Reading up on the Jamman Solo though, it seems pretty neat and looks like it may work for what I wanna do. I still wanna get a Ditto looper for looping my playing though. I really need a bigger board. I can't fit anything else on my board like it is. I wanna add a Ghost Echo and a favorite footswitch for my El Crap. The hunt for a PT2 is on.

I have the big Jamman Stereo, and while it is big, it's by far the easiest for triggering samples and avoiding mistakes.

People that have boards without delay and reverb are like that crazy uncle that dances throughout an entire wedding reception.... You know you are somehow related to them, but no one wants to admit it.

Haha! I have 3 delays on my board. I just love that effect so much.

I just ordered everything I need (I hope) to build the 5 channel looper pedal with volume on each channel and a master volume. Should be a cool tool. Also, we may have access to some high end recording gear and a pro audio engineer for little or no cost! I'm gonna hold off on details till it happens cause this really sounds like a to good to be true situation but at the same time, seems legit

Although, that just makes me wish all my pedals were etched...fuck, the monarch would look cool. So would the trinity...hmmm...
Surely there is a buck to made etching sick housings for awesome pedals...if only I knew how.

Yeah makes perfect sense...its just that every time i pick up a guitar all i come up with is riffs...maybe if i had more pedals i could work on some interesting ambient sounds.

Not a bad idea...i would say that there aren't that many people doing that kind of thing in Australia, you would one of very few out there doing it.
