Totally ... I played one owned by my neighbour's daughter ... superb guitar.

Only drawback is you gotta play it standing up. :lol:

you'll never take over the world sitting down.

You may as well be comfortable while playing...if you're not bouncing around, that is...

Hi there! I've got different guitars, including a Baritone and a 7 strings, but this one is worth to see, I think :idk:
The main idea behind this "project" is having a great sounding guitar under the look of a post-atomic recovery. It's really a nonsense because I play quite heavy stuff along with some experimentation, but I'm not moving and banging much, rather I've got a quite still attitude at playing. But I feel more confortable and free playing an already battered axe, i.e. when I have to play brand new instruments I've got much fear to sctrach them :eek: . Said that, you know we'are always get bored of those shiny, perfect glossy squeacky polite kind of guitar. Sooo, I dismantled my '94 japanese Tele, and, as you can see, I did to her more than enough, not to mention the real burning stuff...
All right. Some specs:
Body: Ash;
Neck/fingerboard: maple/ebony (from W&D);
Pickups: Joe Barden;
Nut: it's a very special hand made one, but I promise I'll edit this post and tell you which material has been cut out from (some industrial autolubricant synthetic shit). It works really well!
Hardware: Sperzel with a Hipshot drop D (doesn't work perfectly: once back to E, it stays a bit flat!), Allparts bridge; other minor parts form anywhere :whateva: and Dunlop straplocks; original Gibson and Fender pots and switch;
Finish: 10+ paint and chemical paint remover (over a few months perplexities :^>); four pass of clear coating;
Decorations: as you can see, I put some silver weirdness on it. Fake Fender decal on burned headstock and... the backplate is the final touch, ahahaaa...
Besides it's appearance, it sounds great! :p
I've also bought a Bigsby Tele bridge, but for now I think it'll be over the top :facepalm:
Oh, one last thing: I did the main damage to it (i.e to the body), chose parts and sent it to my liuther to assemble it right. I'm always did this on my... ehr... projects ;)

Here's one I got on Thursday. Hasn't left my hands since. Unbelievable tone. I had to sell my orange Marshall to fund it, but I'll find another cool amp soon enough.

On a personal level, Freaking Out is a process whereby an individual casts off outmoded and restricting standards of thinking, dress, and social etiquette in order to express creatively his relationship to his immediate environment and the social structure as a whole.

I'm jealous, I had to settle for cherry red SG classic. Black Sg's are kick ass.
