Delta 15As?
They sounded pretty cool on guitar when I tried them out.
I'm fairly certain Wade has disappeared completely.

I might end up going custom, too. Those Mammoth cabs look pretty nice.
i really like mesa cabs. they're killer and the construction is really good. i really really like the older mark series cabs, the ones that are usually half open back. i would close the other half with a small piece of 3/4 marine grade birch ply, but you can get a quarter sheet for under $20, so that's no biggie. but otherwise those things are amazing. particularly if you can find the ones with the mesa mc-90 speakers. those are some of my favorite speakers out there and i think you can only find them in those cabs. plus, those older mesa's are really compact. they made a really awesome really small 4x12 that sounds incredible. i've had a hard time finding loaded with all four mc-90's recently, but i've been looking. i think they're my favorite cabs out there come to think of it.
all that aside, i think the newer mesas are great too. i'm not crazy about the oversize ones, just because i think you don't really gain much from the size difference and it's more room taken up in the van, but they're still awesome cabs. some of those newer ones aren't oversized though. it's not that big of a size difference anyway.
i need to upgrade one of my cabs and i've had a hard time deciding whether to try and go custom or just get a used mesa. i honestly think they're just as good as a lot of boutique cabs, and better than some, and they're cheaper. plus, i like tolex.

There's always a bright green spot on my ceiling from the green LED in my Pharaoh. Looks cool but it's an eye burner.

Mesa cabs are starting to hit that point on the used market where they don't have a lot of resale value, even though they're really well made. Sort of like 80's Peavey gear, but 20 years newer.

my badascan is fucking blinding, as well as the ghost echo. i've thought about trying to dim them somehow. i periodically adjust my delay pedal a bit during our set and in a dark room or on a dark stage, i can't see anything on my pedal board because i'm blinded by those two LED's. my only complaint about those two pedals. it's cool in a way, but it's not practical for me. not to mention it can be a bit distracting when i'm playing, or singing and playing at the same time and this blinding light is blasting my face off from the floor.

Small piece of diffuse scotch tape will work wonders. It will disperse the light a bit and dull it.

Hovercraft unboxing:

Hovercraft stencils on the box.

All packed, ordered a couple of Solid Cables speaker cables with it.

Came with a Funn O))) sticker and a Mercury power cord.

Some documentation in silver sharpie on the back. Those EL84s look TINY in there.

The controls are Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble, Volume, HF Drive.
FIrst impressions are that the tone of this amp is right up my alley. No mid or low mid scoop, just a nice flat response that you can add to. Good warm, slightly dirty sound with the gain low, great high gain tone. Perfect mid frequency, sounds good maxed. Too much bass, kept it on noon or below but nice to know that there is a lot more on tap. HF Drive can get harsh but works really well to add in some sparkle when the volume is lower. 20 watts isn't much but for recording and playing in the house it's good. Mid gain pushed with an Elements sounded really good. Lowish gain with a Pharaoh it got really sludgy in a good way. Fun amp. Looks great too... I'm a sucker for that Matamp style plexi front panel and the handles.
