When I saw them last year he was using an OX Fuzz. Not sure about what he was using at Deathfest though

I don't actually wear much black that much, smoke weed, drink pints and pints of beer every day, or have long untamed hair. Come to think of it, I don't think many of the Doom Room members are like that.

I'd really like to get involved with it, too. But as you say, it's not an easy nut to crack when you have such inspirational designers all around you.

does anyone know what his rig was for that album, i really like that guitar tone.

Atma is a fantastic record. It's so detailed and professional.

it seems that mike scheidt changes gear, particularly dirt pedals, like most people change socks.

Miata??? thats the Mazda's right...their not that small. You guys in the US have Smart Cars? I rented one in spain...and i'm not massive, about 6'3"...but this thing was tiny as hell; and the most frightening car ride i have ever been on...felt like a motor bike surrounded by thin aluminium, going down a freeway at 100km/h. The damn thing shacked every time another car pasted by

and even worse are these small electric cars that i've seen a few of:

A few months back i saw someone driving a half stack in a smart car.
Marshall 4x12 in the back window standing straight up, Head and guitar in passenger seat. I tried to get a picture, but i was too busy laughing at how ridiculous it looked.

i'm expecting that skip will have an answer for this, but i'm interested in thoughts from anyone who has experience. how does the el capistan do with dirt in front of it? particularly being slammed with fuzz?

Does amazingly in my experience. I was running the burial chamber at full tilt in front it with no issues; clear audible repeats with minimal to no break up heard in the repeats.

Nothing does simulated tape echo like an El Cap IMO, even the timeline is only 90-95% of the El Cap tone wise. If you get teh chance do it! I kinda wish I had held onto mine to throw on the bass / synth board...

I've got a setting on my TimeFactor that I made up that simulates it pretty well. I still would like to do sound on sound recording.
I found that if you set the Boss DD7 to the longest delay time you can do a pseudo-sound on sound but like you said, nothing comes quite as close to the El Cap

it's at the back of a long line of things waiting on my money, but i'm thinking about a new delay. now that the new ones have the option of stereo ins, i can't think of anything that suits me better. still thinking hard about a disaster transport too. there's a store here that actually stocks both strymon and EQD, so at some point i'm going to go try them both out.

I put my order in for the el cap christmas day 2010. It has been on my board ever since. Love that pedal. Such a good delay. Probably one of the longest mainstays on my board.
