I wish I was within walking distance of dudes like this. Just sit around all day on a Saturday tweaking tape loops of modular synth electronic stuff.

never seen a reel to reel that was programmed to go back and forth like that before...

i landed a sweet 7" stereo reel to reel on craigs for $40 a couple years ago, love that thing, haven't spliced together a loop on it though, will have to mess with that sometime...

Yeah, if you go to the vid on YouTube, the poster sez "I replaced the reverse switch with a relay, which is connected to my Doepfer system (through an amplified CV output). So in that way the Doepfer is controlling the running direction of the tape recorder."
