Staying as is. It's the Baja Tele, so it's got that whacky switching and some good pickups in it already. It's not really for the heavies, but more classic rock and indie-er stuff.

i've read a lot about how scooped the OCD is and how the DLS has a lot more mids...i like my mids!
what do you guys think about alternatives to OCD?
I'm such a whore for mids.
i'm just a slut for mids...i don't want any cash back

What would you be using it for, low, medium gain, as a boost...? Just for a point of reference.
so i have two potential uses...but the one i'm going for is low to medium gain; will always be on; to simulation amp at break up. So it will sit after my fuzz pedals in the chain.
I know Ancient will heartily endorse the OCD for that function and there ain't nothin' wrong with it, matter of preference, but oh my god do I love the DLS. I felt like the OCD got too compressed too quickly for my tastes when I boosted it. I used it as the booster, rather than boostee. The DLS responds remarkably well and isn't picky at all about what you run into it.

this is consistent with what i've been reading and listening to online...

While I do use an OCD in this fashion they aren't exactly well known for reacting well being boosted by a fuzz, unless you turn the gain way down and the volume up. if you want low gain breakup it works fine but if your going for more of a jcm800 grit then the DLS is honestly probably a better choice. The whole reason I brought up the order switcher a few pages back is because over time I've come to the same conclusion as you, it likes being the booster not being the boosted. And now that I'm using the Peavey as my gigging amp I can switch to amp break up at the amp input by just pushing a channel select button (it has a clean input channel and a dirty [read hairy OD] channel) if I so desire.

Well, when i saw your burial chamber demo a while ago and we had that exchange on FB...that gave me the idea of having the OCD as the boostee...but yeah, the more i read the more it seems like its better suited to boost other pedals. The only problem, my new pedalboard until now was going to be all black and white...but the DLS has colour...that kinda sucks...I could say i have OCD for making sure colours match, but that would be a bad joke!
This forum moves so fucking fast and I can't multi quote on me cell phone. Hopefully I don't miss anything.
Nick, if I pick up the HM2 on steroids I'd rather have you build one than picking up a PCB. Your builds are clean as fuck. I'll talk to the bassist about it too and see if he might be down.
New Indian record has me pumped.
I understand the need for 200 watts for cleans and headroom but I'm on the other side of the spectrum. I love my 2204 and the way it has the right amount of grit on the cleans. I like em dirty and the 2204 gets that sweet spot at full band volume that sounds massive.
