It sounds good through a clean amp, I just want a looper that will work with higher gain dirt and not turn into a compressed pile of mush.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
Analog sections need to run at higher voltages then to allow for sufficient headroom. The other problem is that the DSP stuff in the tech needs to have a lot of bits for headroom. Like the Styrmon stuff has 24 bit. This means there is sufficient room for the A to D to capture large input swings.conky wrote:It sounds good through a clean amp, I just want a looper that will work with higher gain dirt and not turn into a compressed pile of mush.

I thought that blog was really boring. Sort of a 'doom' Sears catalog if you will.

Seems like the theme of that blog is to have you stack of heads towering over your stack of cabs. Shit looks tipsy.

Yes I do realize there was rigs of actual working bands in there and most of those were at least kinda cool in my (lousy and negative) opinion.

There's a few familiar rig's in there, including a couple shots of rigs I've played drums in front of.crohny wrote:http://scrubzero.tumblr.com/

I don't understand why someone would have one cab but so many heads. Also, pretty sure they posted my amp on there before. Wasn't even a good set up. I DON'T EVEN TUMBLR

Definately overspend on old sunns. Coincedetally, I happen to have in my possesion an old sunn concert bass head that I would happily part with should someone choose to overspend on it.D-Day wrote:I AM REALLY INTO 'DOOM' RIGHT NOW SHOULD I OVERSPEND ON THE NEW ORANGES OR OVERSPEND ON THE OLD SUNNS
But srysly, I do has and would let go for cheap to someone here if interested.
