Thanks! Old Silvertones are my first love in this geetar game... (Huge Flat Duo Jets fan...) They just feel so good to play! Especially the Danelectro models like this. This has the same 23.5" scale necks as the older amp-in-case semi-hollows. These were near the last (if not THE last) of the amp-in-case models. (Though I have seen pics of some Kay amp-in-cases that look potentially a shade newer...)

Finished Upgrade!

New pickups, knobs, switch tip, trem arm and block, saddles and strings. Went for yellow this time, liked the pink ones better... but DR will probably announce some new neon colors pretty soon, so I'm looking forward to them..

Anyways- here's my baby in all it's new glory: :joy: :joy: :!!!: :!!!:

Thanks man! Yeah, Dex is the business. I'm also a huge Oblivians fan. I think Eric O. was the first dude I saw play this specific model.

That's looking sweet Schlatte! How are you liking the new pickups?

Kosta! Almost didn't see your baby there!! Sweet stuff! I have no idea how lipsticks sound... but it looks cool!

The neck/middle pups are the Brighton rock pickups from gfs. The bridge is a power rail bucker, also from there. I like ordering stuff there, shipping is not expensive and the wares are top quality.
I haven't had a chance to fully test them all out yet, but so far they sound pretty fat! No comparison to the old flimsy crap pickups.

Yeah I am, thanks a lot man.

I listened to Quilt Chamberlain and your guitar sound on that album is incredible.

From what I recall, that album was all the red Danelectro into an Acoustic 140 into a Vox 4x12. I can't remember if he used the Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster or not, but he used to have one of those until it got destroyed by tour.

Thanks man! To my ear, lipsticks fall somewhere between a P-90 and a Strat pickup, but a bit lower output. A little bit thicker sounding than a Strat PU, but not quite as fat as a P-90. I love 'em.

Finding pickups that you like makes all the difference!
