Humbucker-sized P-90s
I want a new bridge pickup for my new Hollowbody to get that warm/high output yet articulate sound. Similar to Nick Valensi's (The Strokes) sound. I know he plays a Riviera with P 94s but from what I hear the P 94s in the Nick Valensi sig. guitar sound much better than P 94s Gibson is selling now. What are your suggestions to get this tone? I was thinking a GFS Dream or Mean 90.

If you can afford it... give www.bareknucklepickups.co.uk an e-mail, They're great for helping you find your tone and there pickups are amazing, plus they'll wind whatever into whatever you ask most likely so a P-90 into a hum enclosure.

I heard these are really swell. The Z-90. There is a thumbs up fro, Bill Frisell. Whatever you feel about that is cool, i personally love his crazier works and he has a shit ton of musical vocab. But any way I know a guy who used one as a neck pos of a solid body he made. I think he used a 500 pot he was looking for a faux archtop tone that would rip it up when he ingaged his dis. said it was good shit I only know him via internet though, so I have only heard it via Frisell

Hope this is helpful. Don't Know if this is the right tone or not don't listen to the strokes
