I wish they had included an additional output to route everything below the original signal to a different amp (bass amp) and a switch to do the opposite if you are using it on bass (take everything above the original signal to a guitar/keyboard/whatever amp) this way you could also add different pedz to each parts of the signal. I also wish they had included an effect loop with a switch to put it pre or post envelope...

I like what they have done but I'm not sure the difference between V1 and V2 is important enough to flog the V1 I have. A lot of work has clearly gone onto the MIDI front but I have not ventured very far in MIDI territory and have not identified a use for it yet. It's maybe only a matter of time... Who knows.

No way to confirm, but it's doubtful.

My HOG always sounded way too thin and cheesy compared to my POG and POG2, just couldn't make myself like that one. The combined size of the pedal and footswitch were no help either.

They def made some nice updates and the exp modes are always cool but if the sonics are the same, I'd go ahead and skip this one for sure.

I think their main selling point is fixing that part of it.

So they added a master volume and made the preset/midi functionality better? Those are definitely huge improvements. But I'm surprised that's it. It doesn't look any smaller, and I really wish they would have implemented the white button/knob like on the POG2 and other effects so you just don't need an extra pedal.

I had a HOG. I thought it was nice. But while it had such an overwhelming range of options for use, the implementation of the uses was so poor(and made you poorer!) 1 giant pedal + 1 more equally giant pedal that can only hold 6 presets + an expression pedal? That's a lot of floor space and barely cuts it as far as getting enough of the HOG's potential into your ears.

I bought the HOG for the Freeze and hoping it'd bump my OC-2 and open up other possibilities... Shortly after I bought it they made a Freeze pedal, so I bought that. And it turns out I'm addicted to the menacing warble/glitch and volume boost my OC-2 gives when I dime everything and my M13's Pitch Glide/Smart Harmony sounds and functions better than my old Whammy IV and PS-5. The HOG doesn't actually replace them, the tracking is tooooo good to get the same character on the same parts. The filters are wasted on me with my M13's selection and I think I'd turn to a POG2 for polyphonic/multivoiced octaving since the non octave intervals are not intelligent/diatonic and +3 & +4 octaves is just silly if you ask me.
