Same here.

I was super obsessed with having a crazy board for a while and realized it isn't for me.

Meow I'm just using a fuzz I built that probly wouldn't really excite anyone here too much (though I love it  ) and a Behringer VTM. I like it but dunno if it's worthy of the competition lol

It's worth showing off what you can do with it. Just use it as an excuse to record some of the noises you make with it.

Wait, Bukowski doesn't use a Bukowski delay?

Yeah, I'll have to see if my drummer will bring some of his recording gear to our rehearsal space to record something.

 I never have a spare one laying around so I just use one of my other delays

I find it exceptionally hard to record something decent.

Yup. Factor a full time job into that and playing music with other living humans takes a backseat real fast. :(

It takes alot of dedication and a seriously understanding and supportive significant other. I couldn't do it if it wasn't for my amazing wife.

Yep this. My wife is rad. :thumb: But I've never played less guitar in all my life than the last 1.5 years (which magically coincides with the birth of my son...). I live vicariously through ILF, but thankfully I still get out and play with 2 bands.

BILF question - being new to this BILF-ing - should you submit a board that you use? Or do people construct special BILF-boards that are loaded with as much cool shit as possible? Either way I'm probably just going to submit my gig board because I fucking hate wiring up boards and I'm never going to get around to ripping down my board and building up a new one just for BILF. Hah. But yeah, is "loading" a board in or against the spirit of BILF?

Question: what about rack gear etc if it's part of the board in practice (or say an original Space Echo)
==
My pedalboard costs approximately 191 Metal Zones.

I can't really record anything until the Obstructures comes back.. Time to actually put my board back together!

I don't think there is an official rule on that. But personally, last year I submitted my actual band board, and I'm going to do the same thing this year. Like you, there's no way I would tear down one of my boards just to make a "ringer" board for the contest, I'm way too lazy to do that.

The idea is to submit what you're using. But if people want to put together a special BILF version, I won't complain.

So I did my demo video last night.... its horribly done, and horribly cheesy... You can even hear some string noise when i start playing the black metal riffs  and the video is like my delay.... lo-fi... :joy: :omg: :!!!:

All of my stuff is in piles, since my live project has been in the studio for who knows how long now, so I'm gonna have to put something together just for this.

With my sudden wealth of delays, I'm tempted to put together an all-delay board. Whatever I do, it'll be ridonkulous.

Yeah I've done a video where string noise shows up too... Wish I had my decent recording stuff around to do something better.
