lol. Haki will give me the poo for it.... a 6er Dean Edge i NEVER USE and need to list and a realllllly shitty sounding 5er off brand that's a clear plastic body. i want to find someone that can jam a 6er neck into it some day. i used to have it on the wall because looking at it makes me HAPPY.... but i have a small room. so had to give up the wall hanger space for the grey metal shelving thing-a-jigger.

God I'd fuck that demo hard.
So I kind of hate to admit this. I went to GC the other day with my cousin. While there I noticed they had started selling Orange amps at that location. I had to try one. The only bass around (my reach) was a Squire 5 string Jazz. I sat down and played it through the Orange for about 15-20 mins. I was thoroughly impressed by the Squire. Absolutely stunned at how good it sounded and felt for 300 bucks. I actually can't really believe it still. The Orange was aight. Not that impressed by it. The gain knob didn't really do much. Maybe because it was a combo. Dunno. That bass though. I likey.

Dude, I've been trying to set people straight on Squier for a couple fuckin years now. They are the most ridonkulously unbelievable bang-for-the-buck steals on earth right now. The VM and CV series are literally better than the MIM Fenders now. That's not an exaggeration. They're better than any Fender under a grand. It's weird and fucked up and I don't understand it how it happened. But people need to stop looking at the price tag when they judge this shit. The reason I came home with that VM Jag bass a couple years ago is because it beat the fuck out of an $800 Fender Jazz that was sitting right next to it.

That is just mic'd with an AKG D112
I used to use a combination of mic'd and direct but just mic'ing gives a better representation of what the pedal sounds like if you're in the room with me.

I think if I was in the room with you I'd have been crushed to death by a tidal wave of 1000 pedals.

Yeah those Orange combos are kind of Blah. Those smaller Terror heads are pretty cool hybrids. But the Tube heads are where that Orange sound is at. And let's see what SousaGlockenspiel says about all this.
