but doesn't it kinda suck if you end up with a box that replaces 4 other boxes WELL, but can't stack the toanz? if this was setup like an M9 where you had 6 patches easily accessible and could stack 3 at a time, i would be ALL over it. 'cause it IS gonna sound beastly.

but.... i like to combine pedsalz. i like the buildup of one ped then two then three then four.

Well my answer to this is that I'm only going to sell off shit that I DON'T normally stack together. Most of the time when I stack modulation, it's adding chorus or flanger over the top of everything else, and I'm going to keep my chorus and at least one of my other flangers (I have 4 now, so I can definitely stand to sell off 2 or 3). So I'll still be able to stack. It's only certain stacking combos that I'm sacrificing.

I would stack with the Mobius for synthy stuff, especially the am/fm mode (Destroyer right?). But it would look like my base synth (some combination of OC-2, BSY600, MBSS, or Gated Fuzz)>either XerographDLX or Resonator>PitchFactor>Mobius. That would be a lively sound with a lot of movement. I don't feel like I have to have the Mobius this second but next month I'll probably hunt one down.

Although that number would be misleading. I would have to figure how much money I took in and subtract the difference. My gear situation is closer to Sousa, generally I flip to get, of course I do occasionally just throw some money into gear.

i was doing the math on the way back to work from the Patisserie this morning and if a pedal averages out to $250 then that would be 40 pedals. which is way more than i thought i got all year last year, i THOUGHT i was slowing down. the more worrisome part is this is only places that ONLY take paypal, i try to buy from spots that will let me use my card like a big boy.

and this is NOT AT ALL bragging or anything...... i'm more concerned than proud.

Mobius looks sexy as fuck, but I don't think I'd get one. I kind of agree that it's lame you can only use one effect at once.


So I'm at that point again where I want to sell most of my pedals. God I'm so bi-polar (seriously though). I have good reasoning though. I want to upgrade my bass and all these fucking hot ass Dingwall's keep popping up for sale lately! FUCK! I could get a nice AB2 for like 2500 right now. I would have to sell almost all my pedals, but I would not be done with pedals. Only flipping to get the bass and then slowly rebuilding with things I actually need to play the way I want.

After exploring many effects pedals, I've settled on a few things I enjoy hearing with a bass. Chorus, Fuzz, Distortion, OD. That's about it. I like fucking around with other stuff, but find that I don't use it that much. Help me guys! HELP ME! Why am I so goddamn indecisive??????

I am no angel. I am still paying off my Orange head (no interest though and I'll get it payed before there is any). Even though I was wheeling and dealing basses making a bit off money, I still had to put a chunk of change into buying my Dinger. I also did do a few decent pedal pedal splurges. I would guess that between a few buy low and sell highs that really went my favor (don't buy from me if I have it listed on eBay or TGP most of the time...just sayin), and the few basses that I made a few dollars on that I offset my spending by a $1000+. I did have one deal go really bad and I had to eat a few hundred though.
I am going to guess that I spent $2500+.
This year needs to be way less and it will because I have the Head and Bass that I love. Mainy messing with pedals a bit, maybe a cab but only if I really am gigging regularly again and really my cab is decent enough (Avatar 212).

Now and then, I think about flipping pedals to raise funds for something else, but then I think about the past two years' worth of going thru pedals and selecting which ones work for me and having to replace them (which would be difficult on some cases, like anything from ElectroniX/Zeibek).

What's really annoying right now is that there's a 3Leaf Pwnzor available on TB; these things never come available, and I've got the funds but they're set aside for computer upgrades. Temptation sucks.

You're still just dicking around in your basement while the occasional naked baby wanders about right? Whenever there's no real purpose to my playing I get bored and try to solve that boredom through pedals. Which is a quick fix, then the novelty of the new pedal wears off and you're back to being bored again.

Find people to play with. Failing that go figure out Maschine (if you haven't already) and start writing songs over basic drum patterns. When even that fails go get some lessons to put the focus back on the sounds produced rather than shiny new boxes.

Also, since you kind of flip through everything anyway, go sell your pedals and get yourself that Dinger.

Might be closer to 20 since your pedals aren't that cheap, Timeline, Goatse, PitchGrinder, that fancy modded M9. You also bought a shit ton of Blood Party related gear that weren't pedals for your board.
