Does it trail off when you hit the button?
I want a delay that trails off on my board..

Nope, unfortunately. Only the mljr does that, and the 4096 on the aux output

I've made a really short non-tweak video last night, just to show the nuances between those pedals (sorry, no lunar here.. it's already being returned) AND ignore the ugly naked foot

Woah, that ring mod tone to the delays on the 4096 is horrid. Either there is something wrong with your unit or the design cos I don't think it should sound like that. I have an old Guyatone PS-014 that uses the same chipset and it doesn't have that ring mod character at all. Fine, they're two different delays, but whatever.
Great writeup and quick shoot out dude. Diamond pedals are super.

Yeah, seems like I'm getting used to it haha .. u know what, it's even worse when you crank the last knob (echo) on the right, feels like redundant. I'd prefer the knob to be a vinyl noise generator instead of being this echoey ringer. Problem is that the delay (mix) knob will give you the noise as well when you turn it up, so there's no way to avoid it. I was hoping at least they shouldn't mess the effect level knob, and keep the annoyance on the other knob. I'm planning to exchange it with the same thing, we'll see if it'll do the same thing.
edit : In the favor of the ad4096, you heard that instant noise when I engaged the pedal on.. it's the infinity mode constantly feedbacking your previous played notes in the background even if you switched it off for a while. It's pretty quiet in the normal mode, operates just like any other pedals

I don't know, but I'm pretty sure ppl said that it has this (supposedly) distinctive ring modulator-like noise, I just wish I could balance it out with a knob. I'll exchange it next week with the other one.

Good demo! I got a Monty today, and I dig it. Can get really dubby... Which I was wanting. It can also do great slapback, and nice ambient stuff. Very flexible delay pedal!

Ugggggggggggh.
I got the Lunar Echo in. It's beautiful......when my bass is at half volume. It can't handle my active Status' high output. At full volume I get completely distorted trails. At half volume it rocks. Guess there's no internal trim I can adjust.........guess it's going back. Too bad. Otherwise it's a keeper.

That 4096 doesn't sound like the one I have, so much is for sure. I just went and tried the settings you have in your video and it sounded nothing like that. The only way to even get close to those noises is by putting the time up and dialing delay down and echo up. But I also thought the Diamond sounded pretty harsh. Maybe your setup is leaning towards the high pitched noise?

Do Status basses run pretty hot? I guess do you ever have this problem with any other pedals? I always kinda wanted to try the Lunar Echo but now I'm skeered.

I dunno, to be honest. There could be countless pedals that I thought were shit but really just couldn't handle the Status' output. The Rothwell Love Squeeze was one of the ones that did it.....the PWNZOR and Megalith did but they had internal trim pots that I could alter and they were all good.....just got an MLjr off TGP. I'll pack the LE up and send it back to PGS later. Hoping the MLjr is as good as the LE but can handle the load. I might hit up one of our builders to do me an LEesque pedal with an internal trim for input gain.

Hey, thanks for squeeze in about the 4096 and giving me hope about it

Yep, in my short experience.. the LE just couldn't handle dynamic playing really well, especially when you pick your strings hard.. it'll be distorted while oscillates and will make you panic to turn down some knobs which is sucks when you already have your preferred settings. That thing is just too sensitive

A little fun in the morning. I put it very low not to disturb my neighbours, but I think the differences are more than obvious. At first I dialed in a very noisy setting, then turned to something more or less like synthe's video. Infinite mode. When I got it (used) the expand switch wasn't working and all I found inside my patience was a latching switch. So now the expand mode is latching, in case anybody's wondering.
