Re: Boss pedals appreciation thread
The pitch shifters are the shit! I have a PS-2 and PS-5 and they're both awesome. The PS-2 is all crappy digital sounding, which is awesome. PS-5 has the cool extra features like T-arm and Flutter and tracks somewhat okay (compared to the PS-2).
I also really like the sound of the RE-20 Space Echo. Only downside is that I run it after my RAT and my favorite setting on the RAT is with the volume maxed out. Because of that the RE-20 gives some (bad) distortion on my tone (and the peak led always blinking). Anyone know a trick to solve this? I hate it when a good pedal can't handle hot signals.

OC2 is a glitch master
I always liked feeding mine into a big muff
and the OC3 doesn't quite take you there
if you can handle a little bleed when in bypass the only better glitchy cheap octave down is the DOD octoplus

My octoplus doesn't have any bleedthrough.
Although the buffer kills some of my fuzzes and the switch is dodgy so I normally have in a TB loop anyway. As for relevant boss things, I like the delays for what they are, clean digital stuff. Plus none of their pedals are anywhere near as bad as some weird tgp types go on about. The bass OD I had was kinda buzzy but did a mean fuzz when dialled in right.

crank your setup and run the octoplus with the octaves all the way up
turn it off and listen
there are ghost notes
or maybe it was just mine
i liked it anyway

Just got a DD7 again, and GAT DAMN is it good. Everything about it is awesome. A fun thing I "discovered" today was setting it to the shortest delay setting, and letting it feedback. The feedback in that setting is continuous and smooth, so you can move the time knob to specific notes for drones to play over. I was playing over E, and it was the cat's pajamas.

I have an '86 MIJ HF-2, which gets pretty mixed reviews but I like it a lot when set slow with the resonance turned down, really great subtle effect for clean arpeggios and stuff.
Just picked up a pink label RV-3 yesterday.. HOOOLY FUCK so much verb 9.5/10 would recommend.
