If you want to score the civil war sound cheap look for deals on non-working russian muffs. I just got one for $60 and after replacing the pots and a broken cap it sounds collosal. Some of the CE green cases have older boards inside. Aside form key component values most muff sounds are available on any platform if your willing to experiment.

Seriously, STUPID easy to take even a black russian and replace a few components to get it to green or civil war specs. Of course, then you're going to want to swap out the rest...which still ain't all that hard.
