Okay, I've been playing the damn thing all day. I can't believe I didn't get something like this sooner, it's incredibly fun. I figured out a little arrangement for Sam Cooke's "Bring It On Home" so that I can sing it and accompany myself on the bass vi.

My band is planning on recording in December, and I'm going to be using this thing all over the place for tic-tac bass, gigantic low end fuzz in a couple places, lots of overdubs. So pleased.

Mod ideas anyone?

Or maybe not, it´s got a jack output and the sound is nice on it´s own. I played the ducktales theme just now.
I´m starting to like this new city, people are selling me weird stuff

I'd say don't mod it, just throw some crazy pedals after it.

Ooh, or maybe add a second stylus? Can it play more than one note at once?

Only one vco, boohooo.
I could run it through a harmonizer though, or an arpeggiator delay thingy  Man, that would be a mess!

I just saw that white striped jack uses one, maybe someone mentioned it in a different thread?

I FINALLY finished it!

Here's a little something I've been planning since around December (hoping for it to be done by March...)

Image

and the back...

Image

So.. the description...
It's a Jay Turser JT Slimmer.
I bought it used off ebay a million years ago (probably February), not working, for about 70 bucks.
It's been sittin' around in my room forever, and now I finally got around to it.
It's got a Tone Zone in the bridge, an Air Norton in the neck, and a kick-ass Seymour Duncan Lipstick Tube in the middle.
I put a phase switch on the neck (awesome!) and I was going to wire the bridge to a pot so that it kills one coil as you turn it (found that idea at the Seymour Duncan website), but the pot was giving me problems...
So now the top knob is a volume/phase switch, and the bottom one's just for show.

I finished it about a week ago, but I've been too busy rocking out to take pictures and put them up.

Anyway, enjoy. :)

I have an old Hagstrom bass, blue with the clear plexi top and light bluw vinyl back. it has a sweet fast neck on it, bought one because I read that Noel Redding used (well, was using at the time) one in his work with the Experience and could not afford a Fender.
