Mission Engineering

Is there a very noticeable sound "and/or tone loss" difference between the VM-1 (not buffered) and VM-2 (buffered) ?

Other than the VM-2 being $30-$40 more of course.

Are they really THAT MUCH better than an Ernie Ball VP?

Regarding the tone/loss - that will depend on what pedals you've got before it and how long your cables are. If you don't currently have a buffer or a buffered pedal last in your chain and you're happy with your tone you can roll with the VM-1.

Haven't played one, but I'm kinda intrigued, just like you I'd like to see if they actually rule harder than others.

I am intrigued by their expression pedal, so if you get a VM-x let us know how it compares to the Ernie Ball.
