That's too bad. Saw Melvins Lite last Thursday, they were good. Friday was Swans, Saturday Lightning Bolt and Fucked Up. Was a good weekend. Given the choice between the two though I think you chose right with Lightning Bolt.

Uh, I haven't really listened to their records much. Just seen them a couple times and I don't listen to a lot of pop punk anyway. Really I'd recommend checking them out live if you get a chance they do a good show. Their last record is pretty good imo, but someone else may be able to give you a better idea of what to listen to.

And yeah, the weekend was nuts. Fucked Up/Lightning Bolt was an early show too so I almost went up to see Old Man Gloom afterwards, but my legs were tired of walking all around the city and standing in bars for so many hours so I missed that one.

OOF, so glad someone bought that damn Deep Impact.

Also, I have an Iron Ether QF2 coming for the third time. I think it will work for me this time. I have always liked it, so hearing it with the Orange will be nice.

This sounds like the sort of place to see Lightning Bolt. It was kind of weird seeing them on a large stage in a pretty big venue, but the set was still great.

i took my drummer and singer and a bud to see Lightning Bolt, gushed how they were the most fun i'd ever had at a show, and the played two just straight noise songs, blew the circuit the club had them on, it took like an hour of starting and stopping till they got them up and running again, my drummer and his bud left during that, they played like 3 more songs, ones that showed how good they are.... but the next day my drummer talked about how much they were just noisy suckage.

made me sad.
