re: Buddhism: the central text for me was the Shambala Books version of the Diamond Sutra b/w the Sutra of Hui Neng. do yourself a huge favor and get/use some kind of dictionary source to acquire the meanings of words taken directly from Sanskrit and other languages, or you can get hopelessly confused.

i'm getting the property cleaned up for my moving deadline of 9/16...i took two loads of stuff off to the dump today, which gets almost all of the yard debris taken care of. i'm absolutely knackered, but i'm pleased as hell that things are coming along. i might actually make my goal of having the outdoors done by the end of the weekend despite the fact that the shredder died.

Yeah, occasionally a term confuses me, but the versions I have are largely annotated, so most of it's explained.
