Re: The Tone God- NerFuzz Tourbox thread, Get onboard
I've not had as much chance as I'd like to spend time with the pedal (as soon as it arrived here, the Real World reared itself up and got in the way), but I think I've got an idea of what it can do. Unfortunately I had little time to try to record a proper demo but I'd be happy to write a review, if there's interest in that. And since I don't want this to get bogged down here, I'm sending it on up to behndy tomorrow.
Quick 'n dirty - I looked at it in the same way I look at my M5 ...overall, too much to try to seriously go thru all at once, but I did get three different fuzz tones out of it that I really liked (one of them is REALLY close to my Stache). The fuzz-shaping options are HUGE, it definitely sounds like an analog fuzz, and overall I think it's an impressive piece of gear. I'm not sure that I could justify one for myself, but it's not totally out of the question (although it'd force me to go to a larger board - it's not exactly compact). I'd be curious to hear what any of y'all might say about it when it's used in for-real gigging situations.
My thanks to both The Tone God for giving us the opportunity to let us see what it's all about and to Delta for organizing this for us. Y'all rock!

so, ready to ship it out to DarkBarnerz. i WANTED to like it, because i LOVE innovative stuff on pedals... but i couldn't get any tones i loved out of it. there were some i liked, but nothing that blew me away.
the interface is a VERY interesting idea though. gives it a neat aesthetic to have no lnobs on it. it's about the smartest way to add a touchscreen and still keep it rugged enough for live use.
thanks Deltz! it was fun to check out!

Cool BRO! Your experience seems to be the norm for about half the people that use it. I hope that when I get it, I can eek a few cool settings out of it. I am definately going to get to use it in a band practice at the least.

No problem. It is making it's way towards the east coast though.

Me too. I am sure some good demos would be nice. Andrew has been real cool letting us send it around. I think it would be cool for you to hold it a bit if you feel so inclined to demo it.

The part at 4:00 - 5:00 is where I thought a knob or exp pedal would come in handy to ride the wild...
ALL OF IT WAS GREAT...
