maybe you could look at something like an 18-watt Marshall with a treble boost.
Maybe partying will help.

I love my Bogner Duende 15W 1 X 12 combo.
You have channel A and channel B... and can combine both (A + B) (which I use as a boost).
The reverb and the trem are killer.
But it's not cheap.

Just got back from trying a Suhr Badger 18 combo.
That amp is exactly what I was looking for.

Kustom Defender v15 Head
Single Channel, switch between 4 and 15 Watts. Cool little amp and pretty cheap!
I'm getting one myself in october.

Not at all interested in a "for use with pedals" amp.
I want a low watt tube amp for that nice tube distortion. No interest in using cleans or pedals.

When I hear "great for pedals," I think of transparent cleans for dirt boxes. Also, I'm not interested even after hearing some clips. Plus I'm not at all interested in buying an amp just to toy with the kind of tubes it uses. I have other amps for when I'm feeling like being a pedantic fiddler; I am looking for a simple plug&play amp now.
That said, the VHT Standard 18 might be nice. But then again, the only reason I wold look at it is because it is cheaper than the Badger 18. Then again it might be decent, who knows, I have no way of trying the VHT Std 18 in person.

I'm not going to buy just anything. Been there, not doing that again.

So do any of you have any thoughts on the Dr. Z Monza?
I think it may be a contender to the Badger 18

Yeah, gets a Bit bullshitty if People suggest stuff, that is decent and fits the OP request (my Buddy has a VHT special and it is Petty Good) and then get corrected with marketing talk from a website.
BTW, if an Amp Takes Pedals well has nothing to do with its sonic abilities on its own. There is imho no correlation.
