I have a feeling no one really understands compression... Greyscales and Mike have the best comments I've seen in our umpteen threads about compression... To me it's like a tuner, it's something that is an accessory to guitar and not an "effect"... A misused or abused compressor can add sound or character to your guitar or a cheap one can impart it's own tone but it's not fundamentally changing the sound... I like opto compression cause it works best for what I like compression to be, and it's seems more natural... Compression when used correctly is like Auto Tune used correctly i.e. your not supposed to hear it...

Yeah I'm not looking to go super squishy, just need a little more compression for this new song I think.
