The only stickers I've liked have been the Dwarfcraft ones.

The only 'hand painted' stuff I've liked have been all those nuts recent SS/BS Fuck Overdrives. I do think this is a style that would lend itself nicely to Dwarfcraft pedals too. I particularly liked the bare-metal engraved one-off Shivas I saw on the Fuzzhugger site.

My favourite finishes are the Dr Scientist ones but for me they work best when you have several.

I have been drinking so I hope that all makes sense.

:)

*edit* and now I am thinking about a Great Destroyer where the whole enclosure is painted a bloody crimson red and the spine bone artwork it all bigger and dominating on the top. And there are all these chips in the paint like spattered blood combined with rust. It looks sick in my head.
Good deals with: PumpkinPieces, maz91379, allicio, nelsinian, tomlane95, casperh7, insubordination, bronzetalon

I actually have always dug the way Dwarfcraft does things now. It's kind of a raw "fuck you" look. I dunno. I say keep with what you're doing now, but what do I know.

Holy shit! That'd be fantastic!

Thick ultra-sticky vinyl stickers are great though.
I got to try screenprinting soon, mind.

I want stickers when i have a bare enclosure and want to make it into my own thing...

i'd much rather have something more professional on a production pedal to be honest :idk: but it's not like it's a dealbraker for me :)

I don't have a religious preference.

Could be in an undecorated box for all I care.

As long as the edges and holes aren't sharp so I can lick them...I'm good to go.

honestly, i don't have a single preference...it really comes down to execution and the aesthetic of the individual builder. i love Tom's custom paint finishes--he comes up with some things i don't even BELIEVE--but also love Devi's stickers/typography and Aen's kind of lamppost-art aesthetic he uses on the custom boxes. when i look over at my board, the stuff i don't like is generally commercial stuff with the pedal name or brand name blaring at me in big white letters like the Octave Multiplexer or the Pleasure Trem 5000.

i'm another person who worries about elaborate paint jobs...i'm always nervous that my FuzzHuggers with the lovely paint jobs are going to get dinged, and if i had something like a Skin Pimp, an elaborately etched enclosure, or one of those beautiful faux-granite jobs like on the Boiling Point boxes i'd be afraid to step on them. it's the stompbox equivalent of those $8000 PRS and Taylors...to play them is to devalue them, and what kind of fucked-up index is that?

lol. i have about half my board etched right now and most the others are custom paint or powder coat jobs. i use the SHIT OUT of my pedals. and i'm a big clumsy heavy footed guy. if they gets dings or scratches, that's just MOAR CUSTOMIZATION.

Brian at SS/BS/DFAS has always had the most amazing paint jobs and i love the way Doc Sci Ry Guy does his. i don't care if it's stickers or paint i guess, long as it looks cool. i don't really dig on the Sticker On Top, Bare Enclosure All Around look that much, it makes pedz look less professionally done to me i think? although i've seen some DC stuff where that worked... more of a raw angry build look?

i'm HELPFUL. and contraDICtory.

If we do it, we would likely just buy a screen printing set up. It would pay for itself within the first year.

Plus, then we could make TSHIRTS and show posters and shit : )
