The functionality is basically the same. But judging by the clips on the tube, the Lex just sounds so much more lush and accurate to a real Leslie.

Are you planing to record with the Leslie sound or pretty much just play live?

Both, actually.

Can you try out an RT-20 in person? I know you mostlikely can't try the Strymon but the RT-20 may surprise you in person.

I actually already owned the RT-20, so I'm well aware of what it can do. I actually made up a couple clips of it at one point. It's a cool pedal. But the videos of the Lex really does sound EXACTLY like a Leslie, it's uncanny. I'm not a Strymon fanboi, but they really knocked the modeling out of the park on that one. It's killing me.

If it's killing you more than the loss of funds would be killing you, get it!

I didn't even care for the Leslie sound before hearing that pedal. I don't know why, but I have an uncanny amount of GAS for it.

Lex -> El Cap -> BSR/RRR

OR

Lex -> Timeline -> BSR/RRR

Both would be swell, methinks.

Well, to follow up. I decided to get the V-Bass (older one) and try it out. IF it blows my mind, I may decide to go for the newer, crazy expensive one.

Awesome! That's a smart strategy, because then you'll know what you're getting into.

I'm GASing for a lex, too. Probably for the same reason as you. Sounds so spot on, and, well...

Yeah, I'll know more about what I would be getting into. I am excited for sure.

I want a Monolith Lodestone.

Pros:

- Would allow me to kick three pedals off my PT-1, and use only one ISO-5 instead of two to power the board (Minus the Moog ring mod, which has its own power supply).
- Seems like a cool fuzz?
- Could theoretically use it on guitar and bass.
- Looks killer.

Cons:

- Would force me to kick three pedals off my PT-1 if I wanted to use it on that board.
- Would push those three pedals into oblivion and make a new board, or...?
Good deals on ILF: too many to list, just ask!
