Nice video! Is part of that the Randy's Revenge CV out controlling the Faye Sing? I tried to do that the other day but couldn't get it to work.

Yes, that's what it is.
Inside Randy, all switch OFF except switch 3 (OSC) should be ON.
Use a mono cable that go from Randy CV to Faye Sing CV.
The effect is more noticable when Faye Sing is at manual.

Thanks! It's funny how different the Faye Sing sounds with Randy's oscillator controlling it, square wave especially is amazing. The CV doesn't seem to do anything on the 2 speed settings, unlike an exp pedal which changes the rate. :?:

Using the faye sing as a second ring mod in series sounds super cool too, especially with the 2 separate clean blends. The combination of these two is definitely my new favourite sound/pedal!

I think CV in is like "LFO in". Can only work on manual mode.
On the other settings it may work too but not with a LFO feeding in.
Didn't had time to check it in depth yet.

The Compact Faye Sing is very good on it's own... delicious with dirt (Frazz Dazzler and Four Eyes in this video)... amazing with Randy's Revenge (give another dimension to the ring mod) and awesomely creepy with Pocket Arcade (on octave up mode).

My favorite sound:
2:29 Space Rockabilly (with Randy's Revenge using CV function)
3:51 Strange wave (with Randy's Revenge using CV function))
5:24 New kind of ring mod (with Randy's Revenge using CV function... and there is a bit of Superdelay on reverse there)
3:26 Dark and creepy (with Pocket Arcade, on octave up mode and some Superdelay)

Most of my example there where done using sine wave (that's what I prefer).
Same here work better with the manual mode... maybe, going from a point to the other point on the rate knob is too fast and less noticable.

Using an expression pedal to control the rate on the other 2 modes sounds nice though, it seems like it's just set up so a CV doesn't do anything in those modes.

That sound at 5:24 is great! I think my favourite thing so far is using the two as a combination of tremolo and a really deep phaser, with some dirt before them.

Yeah these demo vids you've been doing are great, definitely some of my favorites, you don't shy away from the weird stuff either :thumb:

Just got done using the CV from the RR into the Faye Sing and it's a blast! I love setting the mix somewhere around 50%, the frequency in the lower range and setting the switches to square and lo and then running the Faye Sing on manual, it's an awesome, choppy square-wave phase tone. When you throw on some fuzz, it almost sounds like that deep, cliche alarm sound that a submarine makes when it's in trouble :animal:
