ILF Label/Collective Thread V2

Post by Wes Mantooth »

So I'm sure most of you thought this would be fizzling but jfrey is hard at work on a website and we are almost ready to launch Noise Comp records.

Think of Noise Comp as a collection of ILF artists together under a unfied collective. I think this is a good way to promote like-minded musicians together and also provide a website to get news on all of these bands. So you see this isn't really a traditional label, no money will be exchanged, no royalties taken or contracts signed, nothing like that. It's more of a way to aggregate some ILFs best musicians.

So now I need:

1)feedback or advice is always welcome.
2)Volunteers who can contribute whatever help they can to the project.
3)Musicians and artists who want to be a part of this. Preferably ILF members with bands that are unsigned and need help with promotion, this collective is for the little guys. Keep in mind though we won't be able to help everyone right away but we will try to service as many people as possible.

So yeah this thing is still intact and I'm hoping to push it forward and jfrey has done a ton of work for this so big ups to him :thumb:

Very much interested - submitted a track to the Noise comp as well as the (possibly dead) Bowie cover comp. Would love to do some online-only splits.

More than willing to help with DTP/GD.
Band (with bronzetalon) below.
To my knowledge, this is the only band with ILF-based origins?

Coolest of beans, guyz!

Now that I finally have a band that's actually working out I should have something to put out there soon. We just need to find a good way/place to record a demo considering we have pretty much no recording equipment. This will probably happen after our first show on the 26th.

So yeah, count Jeffrey's Diner as an ILF Collective band.

Seems like things are moving along again. Someone harass me to finish the site. It's at like 90% done, and I just keep forgetting to finish it and get it online.

Wow, this is what I get for never visiting the music subforum! This is such an awesome idea! I'm totally going to be submitting some post rock noise jams once I force myself to sit down and record some shit. We are finally getting our music room set up in the new house, so hopefully I can get some stuff together soon.
